Dear Friends,
It is not easy to convey in one document the spirit of an organization, especially when that organization is informed and enlivened by the inexhaustible spirit of Dietrich von Hildebrand. Nevertheless, we have endeavored to create just such a document with our 2012 Annual Report (click on the image to read), which shows not only what the Legacy Project does, but more importantly, why we do it.
In addition to updates on our programs, plans, and finances, our 2012 Annual Report features two special excerpts: the first, from Senior Fellow Prof. John F. Crosby's lecture, The Forgotten Voice of Dietrich von Hildebrand, and the second, from the forthcoming publication in 2014 of von Hildebrand's anti-Nazi papers, to be entitled, He Dared Speak the Truth.
Dietrich von Hildebrand championed the necessity of beauty in everyday life; we have tried to follow his example in creating for you, our readers, an Annual Report that is anything but utilitarian, that is indeed, a genuine cultural good!
I hope you will find a leisurely moment in which to appreciate our 2012 Annual Report. And as ever, I appreciate your support in making our work possible. For after all, this report is just as much a statement of our activities as it is a testament to the value of your continued support.
Yours Faithfully,
John Henry Crosby,
Founder and Director
